Ultralight Championship of Poland – training for the European Championship

Jaktorów July 2017

On the last weekend of 13-16.07.2017 at the airport of the Wolsztyn Air Association in Powodowo Ultralight Polish Championship took place. For competitors representing Aviation Artur Trendak Polish Championships were a kind of a training before the upcoming European Championships in Hungary.

There were 17 competitors in 11 teams. Competitors competed in two navigation competitions, one economic and four precision landing competitions – where pilots were tasked with landing at a designated zone in the airport, known as the “deck”, in scoring sectors. On the contrary, in the navigation competitions, crews had to show the accuracy of the navigation, keeping the time accurately on the elements of the route, finding the objects on the pictures taken at the pre-departure check. The economic competition required the riders to make the longest flight with limited fuel.

Team Tercel SP-XXSX: Dariusz Szymańczak (Pilot) and Maciej Marszałek (Navigator), after a phenomenal battle to the very end, took 2nd place. Our second team was Tercel SP-XXLX: Marcin Majsterek (Pilot) and Dominika Jurkiewicz (Navigator), who took 3rd place.

We congratulate the results and wish further successes.
